Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba proudly announce the beginning of a new collaboration with Chateau d’Ax. To inaugurate this new synergy, the D’AX Design collection is dedicated to the contemporary and conceived to open new paths towards innovation.

The collection consists of two different models of upholstered furniture and a series of furnishing accessories and containers. In line with the philosophy of Chateau d’Ax, the architects have designed products that blend aesthetics and functionality, always within the context of design research that places innovation at the center.

The focal point of the D’AX Design collection is undoubtedly the upholstered furniture, in the two Shell and Prisma collections.

Shell is distinguished by an enveloping design almost like a shell – hence the choice of the name. In the creative process, the architects' intention was to design a sofa with harmonious shapes that would adapt to the surrounding environment. This was made possible thanks to a study of contained proportions capable of ensuring a product that would still stand out in the spaces.

Shell is a collection characterized by a sort of shell, with very soft cushions. The project features a very thin structure and a characteristic curvature that gives an iconic shape to the product.

Prisma, the second collection, is instead a monobloc sofa, representing the pinnacle of minimalist sculptural aesthetics, where backrests and armrests are designed as a single element. For the realization of this model, Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba worked on the minimization of elements, focusing on the details of the corner, bands, and proportions.

Prisma is an upholstered piece in which the concept of reduction has been taken to the extreme to obtain an object with an extremely harmonious impact.
